This application is using FreeImage library (http://freeimage.sourceforge.net)

As you can I have imported a dod (upscaled) image, its a 16:9 1920 X 1080 PNG image and it made a beautiful image perfect for modern wide-screen's.

His instructions for use are...   

Tool for making custom backgrounds in game Counter-Strike 1.6 or other HL1 engine games.

This application is supporting custom resolutions.

Yes that's a bit short but it hardly needs a complicated explanation past that.

It will out-put the background images and make a set of files to control it.... just load the image, select your resolution, save it in a folder.

Then place the files in... Half-Life/dod_addon/resource.

Make those custom folders if you have to.
